| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 11th, 1998: Stark Spins Shutout
Clarence Stark made quick work of Tombstone, blanking the Reapers 4-0 at Ballpark of Grand Island today. The Lansing pitcher limited them to 3 hits to earn the victory. Stark fanned 8 and walked 3.
So far in 1998 Stark has compiled a 2-2 record with a 3.68 ERA.

 | Monday, May 4th, 1998: Red-Hot Carr CLAA Player of the Week
22-year-old Troy Carr made a few Tombstone headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Cooperstown League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 10 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .400 average. Carr collected 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 5 runs.
In 31 games this season Carr has batted at a .355 pace with 43 hits and 7 home runs.

 | Monday, April 13th, 1998: Week's #1 Player: Tombstone's Prieto
23-year-old Héctor Prieto sent shock waves through PCBL Double A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Cooperstown League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Prieto made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 1 home run and 11 RBI.
Where the Tombstone Reapers center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Prieto certainly made his mark last week.
