| Breaking News |  | Friday, June 26th, 1998: Senators Headington Tames Puebla Chris Headington of the Carson City Senators was in command from start to finish in his 3-0 shutout win over the Puebla Padres. He struck out 12, walked 0 and allowed 1 hit.
"I felt strong the entire game," Headington said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
Thus far in 1998, Headington has compiled a 11-3 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 123.1 innings and striking out 111. He has held the opposition to a .208 batting average with a 2.48 ERA. |  | Monday, June 15th, 1998: Lowe Toys with Puebla At Valkries Ballpark today Athens blitzed the Puebla Padres 4-0 on a route-going gem by Brit Lowe. He blanked them on a 3-hitter and had 6 strikeouts in the contest.
Currently Lowe has a 7-0 won-lost record in 10 starts with a 2.43 ERA. He also has 39 strikeouts in 74 innings. |  | Thursday, May 21st, 1998: Warner Hurls Padres to Shutout Win Sean Warner effectively shut down the 51's today, blanking them 5-0 on 4 hits, ringing up 5 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The Padres pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on.
"I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Warner said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there."
The 51's skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today."
