 | Saturday, June 14th, 1997: Harris Smacks 5 Hits for Hillbillies Today the Hillbillies downed the Gold Miners 13-5 as Anderson Harris sprayed hits all over Jailbreakers Ballpark in a 5-hit explosion, finishing up with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Higginsville left fielder said to SION reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them." A. Harris tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Harris currently has a .240 batting average with 23 hits, 2 homers, 12 RBIs, 9 runs scored and a .270 OBP. |
