 | Friday, July 26th, 1996: Lowe Holds Tuxtla Gutierrez Conejos Scoreless Brit Lowe effectively shut down the Traviesos today, blanking them 4-0 on 1 hit, ringing up 4 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The Monarchs pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Lowe said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Traviesos skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." This year Lowe has worked 127 innings with 63 strikeouts en route to a 7-9 record and 4.61 ERA. |
