 | Wednesday, June 11th, 1997: Harmon Zeroes in on Martins Ferry Sykesville starter Adam Harmon really did a number on the Purple Riders today, shutting them out 3-0 on 3 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 5 strikeouts. In his postgame comments, the Martins Ferry manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Adam... he did an outstanding job today." Season-to-date Harmon has rung up 5 wins and 6 losses in 12 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.43 and has fanned 43 batters in 81.1 innings. |
