Monday, May 19th, 1997: Hoboken League Picks Top Player
The premier performer in the Hoboken League this week was Colton Glass of the Martins Ferry Purple Riders.

The hot-hitting 20-year-old center fielder put up a .500 average and .529 on-base percentage, piling up 16 hits in 32 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

That kind of hitting got him the HLAA Player of the Week honors.

Looking at his 1997 season stats, Glass has compiled a .303 batting average in 32 games with a .353 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 9 runs.
