The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the third baseman will miss 2 weeks with a sprained ankle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Manley suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Ninja.
This season Manley has banged out 61 hits in 267 at-bats for a .228 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .354 pace and his totals also include 32 RBIs and 39 runs scored. | |
