Sunday, August 4th, 1996: Small Smacks 5 Hits for Brahmas
History in the making. That's what the fans at Arthur Bryant Field got to see today, when Kansas City outplayed the Ninja 6-5. Bob Small of the Brahmas came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Indiana.

In the postgame press conference the Indiana skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."

B. Small hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Small is batting at a .311 pace in 1996, picking up 118 hits in 379 at-bats with 13 home runs, 48 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
