 | Monday, July 29th, 1996: Kansas City and Chicago Agree to Deal The Kansas City Brahmas have parted ways with 31-year old minor league starting pitcher Jesús Montoya, sending him to the Chicago Bleacher Bums for 29-year old minor league starting pitcher John Foster and 24-year old minor league reliever John Williams. The Brahmas general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. This season Montoya has worked 107.2 innings with 64 strikeouts en route to a 7-6 record and a 3.85 ERA. Checking out his stats for the year, Foster has racked up 1 win and 3 losses in 7 starts, 5.44 ERA and struck out 28 batters in 49.2 innings. |
