 | Monday, July 15th, 1996: HL's #1 Player, Baxter of Indiana There was no one hotter in the Hoboken League last week as Chris Baxter attacked enemy pitching with a vengeance to collect the Player of the Week Award. The 23-year-old Indiana right fielder batted .588 with 10 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. So far this season Baxter is hitting .307 with 15 home runs, 59 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 91 hits in 296 at-bats and a .403 OBP. |
