 | Monday, September 8th, 1997: Hansen: Big Hit in the Hoboken League! The marquee name in the Hoboken League this week is George Hansen of the San Diego Rowdies. The hot-hitting 21-year-old center fielder put up a .607 average and .645 on-base percentage, piling up 17 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 12 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the HL Player of the Week honors. Thus far this year Hansen has hit .310 with 15 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
