 | Tuesday, July 1st, 1997: June's Top Starter Named in HL When Rafael Oliveira takes the hill, he usually takes command of the game, at least that's the way it was in June. The outcome was usually a Toronto victory. His fine 4-0 performance copped him the Hoboken League Pitcher of the Month trophy. The talented Dogs hurler made 6 starts, worked 39 innings, permitted 31 base hits and struck out 33, while putting up a 2.08 ERA. This season Oliveira has gone 8-3 with an ERA of 2.50, posting 73 strikeouts in 93.2 innings. |
